Egg Salad

Boiled eggs
Miracle Whip
Mustard
Pepper (optional)
Celery (optional)

This recipe can be made with a varied amount of all the ingredients.  When making it for 2-4 people, use at least eight boiled eggs.  Bring eggs to a full boil for 5 minutes.  Remove from heat and run cold water into pot.  Refridgerate.  After chilling,  chop cold, boiled eggs into fine, small pieces.  Add miracle whip until it's the consistency that you prefer.  Add 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of mustard.  Taste.  If you want to add more of an ingredient, then do so.  Pepper and chopped celery are personal preferences, but most of the time omitted.  *Remember to always store eggs in the refrigerator and to always keep salads cold!  Add salad to any type of bread or roll.

Orange Julius

1 6 oz. can of frozen orange juice (I use 1/2 of a 12 oz. can)
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
10-12 ice cubes

In a blender, add each of the ingredients saving the ice cubes for last.  Blend from low to high speed until creamy.  Beware of brain freeze!

Open Face Sandwiches

Your choice of sliced bread
Your choice of lunch meat
Your choice of sliced cheese
Spread butter/margarine

Lighly spread butter or margarine on slices of bread.  Place meat and cheese on top.  Slice on the diagonal, then arrange on a tray.  Wrap with saran wrap and place in the refrigerator until ready to serve. The absence of the top layer of bread makes the sandwiches light and less filling for parties.  Also, they're great for diets!
